Senior Data Architect 

Remote (Someone comfortable to work in Eastern Standard Time (EST)

6+ Months (Possible Extension)

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelors in Computer Science or relevant field, 7+ years experience in data architecture with a knowledge of a variety of data related disciplines such as MDM, enabling BI Semantic layer, analytics, and visualization tools.

Proven work experience as a Data Architect

In-depth understanding of database structure principles

Data & Master Data Management depth of knowledge

Experience gathering and analysing system requirements

Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques

Business Process Centric Data Architecture – enabling efficiency Data processes and performant, easy to use solutions

Data Quality practice that enables - Business intelligence & Design thinking

Cross Domain of Functional & Master Data knowledge

Data Architecture Modelling: Analytical and Operational Data Architecture designs & management – including Taxonomy & Hierarchy capabilities

Data Analysis, Querying

Experience with Python, Spark, SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Erwin, CI/CD

Proficiency in MS Excel

Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

Proven analytical skills

Problem-solving attitude\ Compliance, Privacy, and regulatory data knowledge

Retail Industry experience a plus

Engage with a collaborative and proactive approach to solving key business & data challenges through data architecture --- enforcing the “build once deploy many” approach through our data designs.

Architect data to ensure high integrity, re-usability enhancing efficiency, minimizing human touch and ensure business realization – bringing to life ‘Data at your fingertips” for our business users.

Bring best-in-class and right sized Data architecture designs to life for the client.

Partner closely with business partners and E2E Solution leaders to ensure initial and ongoing Data Architecture needs are met in a easy to use, meaningful, highly automated, low-cost manner.

Anticipate business needs and proactively design and deliver data architecture designs that increase agility & scalability while reducing data & tech debt.

Ensure solutions meet stability concerns for ongoing performance, maintenance, and support.

Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality

Optimize new and current database systems

Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts

Integrate disparate data models across the company into one enterprise-wide Unified Data Platform design

Develop a corporate data library / metadata repository including best practice for development of data transformation specifications

Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements
