  • Leads Transfer Application: 40% of the company’s leads (potential student inquiries) come from our online portal. This application integrates the company’s data warehouse to our online portal. Made the leads real time while emphasizing security (WSE 3.0) and fault tolerance.
  • Application integrates company’s data warehouse to the alumni website.
  • Web services (developed in C#) sit on production box waiting for call from company’s internal legacy data warehouse (progress database). Included in the (soap header) of the http web service request are the security credentials to authenticate against the web service.
  • Upon successful request, web services transforms latest leads from remote (SQL2K) production server into xml, attaches it to the soap message using WSE 3.0. Web services are called every 5 minutes, so, unit tests using NUnit where designed not only to test each individual method, but to test consistent successful web service requests for long periods of time (24 hours) as well.
  • All diagrams (including class diagrams) where designed utilizing Enterprise Architect.

  • Online Physician Finder System: for members to find physicians covered by their plan based on supplied parameters (distance from user based on zip code, provider specialty, etc) while supplying an online map from users location.
  • Online Real Time Rate Proposal System: for brokers and providers to view online medical insurance quotes (for about 20 different plans, with about 5 scenarios for each plan) for small to mid-sized companies.
  • Online Eligibility Status program written for providers (doctors) to view real-time eligibility status on Community Health Group members.
  • Developed using classic ASP, VB 6.0 (components), Java Script off a sql 2k server. Application was later converted to .NET, utilizing VB.NET, ASP.NET, Some Java Script, off an Oracle back end.
  • Throughout application life cycle (collaboration was key) with other developer developing client side application. This helped in refining our rate calculation algorithms to insure our rates matched (to the cent) for each plan and each scenario.
