In-force application accurately reports the P&C product count of policies In force(PIF) and Vehicle In Force(VIF).Varies views of reporting are delivered weekly and monthly at company level ,Line of Business level, Risk level , Eligibility level and combination of these. This information assists analysts and senior management in defining marketing and pricing business initiatives that maintain USAA's competitive edge and high quality of service. The primary business users of this application are P&C Marketing, Corporate Marketing and P&C competitive analysis. The purpose of the project was to migrate from Mainframe legacy code to marketing datamart. Informatica was the ETL tool used in the new system. I was part of rule mining, requirements gathering, coding and testing of the project in Informatica. The migration was implemented in Informatica Ver9.1. UNIX, Putty, Control-M Enterprise Manager etc were also utilized to implement the project.

One HSBC Project is aimed at Standardizing all the Core Banking Systems across HSBC. The project will replace 55 separate core banking systems, 24 credit card systems, 41 internet banking systems and 40 desktop standards with the Single One HSBC Platform.  One HSBC will be able to support 10 million accounts. One HSBC aims to improve customer services by giving the bank a single view of customers while reducing costs through streamlining IT and operations. The platform will also reduce the cost of setting up new banking operations.

There are 10 modules in One HSBC core banking.

Account maintenance, Account Value, Fees and Interest. Product and parameters, Bulk Input, Exception Management, Taxation , Cheque Management, Statement, Advice and report, Operational Account.

All the above modules or work streams are inter linked each other.

Bulk Input one of the above module which I extensively supported .In a short, Bulk Input is one of the core components of HSBC Core Banking. Bulk Input component provides functionalities related to processing of Bulk Value and non value Transaction coming from different sources and guiding them to various destinations. Bulk input is one of the system utility components that provides services for the receipt and processing of transaction files.

This Project is Fall Compliance, here On Account of changes in regulations; business rules etc. of ICA (schemes) viz. VISA and MasterCard, the software systems like Vision PLUS which are catering to credit card services undergo code modifications or addition. The schemes release these mandatory changes twice a year. Subsequently FDI code gets modified with corresponding changes. And FDI then releases these fixes/ changes to impacted business units in order to make them Compliant with VISA/ MasterCard.
